Ultra-low temperature freezer from Thermo Scientific TSX Series, designed for long-term storage of biological samples, reagents, extracts, cultures and other temperature-sensitive materials. The equipment was developed for storage at extremely low temperatures, with operation in the approximate range of −40 °C to −86 °C, providing stable and controlled conditions for laboratory and research applications.
The TSX series utilizes V-drive adaptive control technology, which dynamically adjusts the speed of compressors according to refrigeration needs, allowing for reduced energy consumption without compromising temperature stability. The system increases refrigeration capacity when there is frequent door opening or introduction of new samples, while reducing operational speed under stable conditions.
This equipment does not require a request or booking. To access it, please contact the space caretaker or, for shared centre spaces (e.g. Lab 2.39, Building 8), the technicians.
