Malvern Mastersizer 3000, a particle size analysis system based on laser diffraction, equipped with the Hydro EV wet dispersion unit. The equipment enables the determination of particle size distributions in liquid suspensions and is suitable for the characterization of sediments, soils, microalgae, biomass, environmental particles, and other particulate materials.

The analysis enables the determination of particle size distributions across a wide size range, providing particle size parameters such as D10, D50, and D90. The Hydro EV unit enables controlled sample dispersion and circulation during analysis, facilitating the preparation of homogeneous and reproducible suspensions while reducing the influence of particle agglomeration.

The system is particularly suitable for particle size analysis, characterization of sediments and environmental particles, analysis of biomass and microalgae, as well as for evaluating changes in particle size distributions resulting from different treatments or processes.
